There are many possible designs for horizontal loops. Our most cost effective design for Central Ohio conditions is called "The Extended Slinky".
Criteria for "The Extended Slinky":
600 feet of 3/4 inch polyethylene pipe per ton (12,000 BTU) of system capacity.
Tubing is spiraled on the bottom of a trench which measures 3 to 4 feet wide, 5 feet deep and 140 feet long.
Trenches are spaced a minimum of 10 feet apart.
Preferred spacing for safe working clearance is 15 to 20 feet apart.
Be located so as not to intrude upon utility easements, sanitary systems, water wells, underground utilities.
Be no closer than 10 feet to any foundation.
